The space
Each part of this cabin has been thoughtfully curated to create a beautiful and and comfortable stay. The “secret room” is an attic room and is accessed through a bookshelf door that does not have a handle on it. It is not overly difficult to open (simply pull on the right side of the door) but is a more narrow opening than most doors. On the “room” side it is easily pushed open. It may be hard for very little kids to open so we do not recommend children under the age of 5 staying in the room by themselves.

The downstairs bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom and are all accessed from the main living area. There are two steps to get into the house and one more step from the sun room into the main living area and bedrooms.

Being surrounded by nature, at times ‘nature’ gets into the house. We do our best to keep pests out of the house but it is their environment that we have invaded.

Other things to note
We have planted our second season of 2 acres of wildflowers. It takes a bit for these flowers to become firmly rooted but we are hopeful for a pretty showing for 2024. These flowers bring lots of bees with them. We love that we can be a part of these pollinators’ journey, however, if you are allergic we suggest staying away from the fields and bringing whatever things you need to stay safe. (The closest field is about 60-70 feet from the house)

Also, during your stay we may have lawn-care, driveway maintenance, or pest control do work. They will not enter the house. We try to schedule around our guests but it is not always possible especially with lawn care.
